The dust in light effect
I have been thinking about implementing a certain effect into my sequence and i know it can be done with the correct preparation and technique. I will show you a few images you so you know what it is exactly this effect is:
Notice the dust/particles in the light? This is an effect that would be in my sequence because I like the symbolic codes and effect it has. We would see the light coming down upon the props like this:
Alongside the dust particles within the light to give it that calm
untouched quiet effect I want the audience to understand the connotations but
in order to do so I would need to clearly implicitly explain what it is I want
them to think. See it’s the dust effect that gives it that seriousness also as
well as previous atmospheric feels I have already mentioned.
Symbolic Codes
This
would symbolize hope and courage because of the light shining down on the props
that the inspector is using alongside the inspector himself. However, the dust
passing’s by symbolizes that he may be waiting a while until that ray of hope
or courage comes through and may also connote that it’s the things that the
light is shining on is what will help him crack the case in time. Subtle codes
like this is what will ultimately make this sequence uniquely abstract.
